1. Overview
Money Tracker is designed with a strict privacy-first, offline-only architecture. Your financial data belongs exclusively to you. We do not collect, transmit, store on external servers, or sell any of your personal or financial information.
2. Data Collection & Storage
All data created within Money Tracker remains strictly on your local device:
Financial Records: Accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, and notes are stored locally in an encrypted/secured SQLite database on your device.
Receipts & Media: Any images or attachments you attach to transactions stay locally on your device storage.
Preferences: App configuration, currency preferences, and settings are saved locally using device shared preferences.
We do not operate any external cloud servers, user accounts, or analytics services.
3. Device Permissions Used
Money Tracker requires specific device permissions solely to provide core offline capabilities:
Biometric / Local Authentication (`local_auth`)
Used exclusively if you enable App Lock. Biometric identification (Fingerprint / Face ID) is processed entirely by your device's operating system. The app never accesses or stores your biometric credentials.
Storage & Media Access (`image_picker` / File Management)
Used only when you choose to attach receipt images to transactions or when exporting/importing financial reports (PDF, CSV, Excel).
File Sharing (`share_plus`)
Allows you to manually export and share your financial reports or backups via your preferred apps.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
Since Money Tracker operates completely offline:
We do NOT integrate third-party advertising networks.
We do NOT use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
We do NOT share any of your data with third parties.
5. Data Retention & Control
You have total control over your data. You can edit, back up, or permanently delete your records at any time. Uninstalling the application will permanently erase all local application data stored on your device, unless you have exported a manual backup.
6. Children's Privacy
Our app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, it is completely safe for general audiences.
